The ad-hoc committees are created by the ISCA Board of Directors to address strategic needs, as they arise. The following are active ad-hoc committees:

Awards Committee Responsibilities

Awards Committee is an ad-hoc committee with the responsibility to solicit, select, announce and deliver the annual Sister City of the Year and the Champion of the Youth awards through a competitive process.  Key activities include:

  

  • Develop or revise criteria for awards selection and communicate to the membership 


  • Establish timeline and the process of awards applications submission and evaluation 


  •  Communicate and coordinate awards delivery with the winners 


  • Debrief the Board with the lessons learned and potential changes

Communications Committee is a new ad-hoc committee with the responsibility to develop and execute Association's communication strategy.  Key activities include:

  

  • Understand the communication needs of each segment of ISCA stakeholders 


  • Develop strategies for the ISCA brand identity across all channels of communications


  •  Create and implement plans to achieve goals and objectives

Technology Committee Responsibilities

Technology Committee is an ad-hoc committee with the responsibility to develop and execute Association's technology strategy.  Key activities include:

 

  • Develop an overall technology strategy for the Association


  • Design, develop, implement and maintain the website for the Association


  • Evaluate various social media platforms, select and establish presence


  • Develop and execute plans for technology support for the Association activities such as databases, repositories and branding

Youth Engagement Committee

An ISCA Ad-hoc Committee

Youth Engagement Committee Responsibilities

Youth Engagement Committee is responsible for developing strategies and programs for deeper and sustainable involvement of youth in the sister cities activities across the state.  Key roles include:


  • Understand current activities and the needs of the membership


  • Develop plans and programs to support and supplement member youth programs 


  • Create signature youth events, such as a global soccer tournament, involving members and their sister cities

Fund Development Committee

Fund Development Committee

Fund Development Committee is a new ad-hoc committee with the responsibility for developing sustainable fund development strategy for the Association.  The key activities include:


  • Develop, recommend and implement actions for the short-term funding needs of the Association


  • Develop and implement strategies for sustainable longer term funding opportunities


  • Develop a framework for funding to support ISCA members in their fund development efforts
