STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM SPANNING 30 YEARS- columbia
Kudos to Sister Cities of Columbia, Illinois for an outstanding student exchange program which has spanned 30 years.
Eight Gedern, Germany students participated in a three-week exchange in Columbia in 2023. While in Columbia, the students attended classes and went on numerous field trips in the Columbia area and nearby St. Louis, MO. One of the students returned to Columbia as a full-time student for the 2023-2024 school year.
Forty-eight adult members of Sister Cities of Columbia participated in a ten-day exchange visit to Gedern, Germany. During the ten days, the 30th anniversary of the official signing was recognized with a formal ceremony and an exchange student reunion.
At the formal ceremony, speakers shared meaningful sister city experiences. The student reunion was attended by approximately
90 former exchange students from the past 30 years, honoring their teacher, Andreas Heuser.

The Dr. Elizabeth Hull Memorial Scholarship for Students of French
The Sister Cities Association of Palatine (SCAoP) will offer one (1) one-year scholarship of $4,000 to one high school senior who resides within one of the following school district attendance areas: 211, 214, and U-46. THE APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE ON THE DOWNLOADS PAGE.
